- The Honeymoon Suite At Makiti
Makiti’s romantic Honeymoon Suites are available to the afternoon brides (15h00 / 16h00 to 01h00) where they can prepare themselves for that special day. We also include a snack basket for the bride with a bottle of Sparkling wine. Makiti can even organise a make-up artist or hair stylist if one is needed. The bridal couple are then welcome to stay overnight, where they can sip on a glass of Champagne while relaxing in a bubble bath (complimentary bottle of champagne and snack basket). We also include breakfast the following morning.
Please note that the suite is only available to the Bride and Groom and can not be used by anyone else even if they decide not to use it.
The Honeymoon Suite consists of a large dressing area with full length mirrors and make-up area with appropriate lighting.
The bathroom has a large oval corner bath.

The four-post pillar bed, impuled from Bali is the highlight of the day. The Bride and Groom feels like a King and Queen as it should be!
The room is cleaned during the service. Please note that there is a small safe in the room to lock away valuables. Although we take grate care of the client’s belongings, Makiti can not accept responsibility for any personal belongings. To assist with the arrangement we prefer that the Honeymoon Suite is locked until such time as the Bride and Groom occupy the suite after the function and is not used/ entered by anyone else in the wedding party.
We do not allow people to go into the room to booby-trap the room. Any damages inflicted will still remain the client’s responsibility.
The couple has to evacuate the room by 10h00 the next morning.
Breakfast is served between 08h00 and 09h00 in the lodge area. The alternative is a continental breakfast basket that is already put in the room the night of the wedding. If the lodge is not serving breakfast the following morning then the breakfast basket will be served instead.
Please note that the Bride and Groom are not allowed to entertain guests in the Honeymoon Suite at all! Also note that the bunch of flowers in the bathroom (in the vase) is not for the client to take home as well as any usable displayed in the Honeymoon Suite.
- Chapels At Makiti
Walking through the arched wooden doors you are immediately struck by the romantic ambience created by the soft dimmed light of the fine copper chandeliers and the golden glow of the sun that brushes your cheeks through the tainted windows.
The wooden pews seat up to 220 guests that await you while listening to romantic music played over the installed sound system.
The ringing of the Antique Brass Bell, announces that your big moment has finally arrived. As you take your first step down the 19m Merlot Red Carpeted Isle, the congregation rises to welcome you to the start of your new life.
There is a beautiful podium that is installed in the front. There is also a register table on which you will sign the most important contract of your life.
The Chapel is also available to our function clients. Your photographer is welcome to set-up in the chapel for the taking of group / individual photos.
- Beautiful Gardens At Makiti
After the service the couple wonder into our fairy tale gardens for their photo session. The variety of breathtaking scenes, interesting features and array of colour will give you the opportunity to have a range of unique photographs to keep as memories of this important day.
During the photo session the guests are invited to have a pre-arranged “welcoming drink” at the “Pre-reception drinks area”.
These thatches are situated in the middle of the gardens and are surrounded by water features. The tranquil sound of running water relaxes young and old, and their chatter carries through the valley as they look down on you being photographed on swings and quaint bridges.

Wedding Planning At Makiti
At Makiti our main aim is to be involved with as much as possible, in order to relieve you of the stress normally related with organising your big day. By controlling everything we can guarantee success.” “Peace of Mind” is priceless. At Makiti it is part of the package.
When you have your “Final Arrangement” meeting held about 6 weeks prior to the function, we discuss every little detail of your big day. Our wedding planner will give you “pro’s & con’s” to every option you are considering, and assist you in making the right decisions. We use all our experience to your advantage. This meeting can be booked for the following days: Monday Tuesday, Wednesday from 09h00 to 12h00 or 13h00 to 16h00. Always remember that you can’t re-do anything after the wedding, it has to be perfect. You either do it right or you don’t do it at all! After our 3-hour get-together, we know exactly what is supposed to be done where and when, and we therefore don’t have to bug you at all on the day. Your personal wedding coordinator will ensure that all is done and will be by your side until the end of your function. All you need to do is to enjoy your “Fairy Tale”.

Flowers
We also have an in-house Florist, with whom you discuss all your requirements. He has a variety of Chandeliers and Stands to choose from (at no extra cost if they are used for flower arrangements) which takes the hassle and cost out of having to hire and then take back again after the wedding. All the flower arrangements that are done for the Chapel are utilised again in the function room (not your responsibility to move), while you are busy with your photo session, which saves you a lot of money.
For example the main arrangement in the front of the chapel becomes the main arrangement behind your main table. The florist can be seen on site. Together you can design a centre-piece ranging any where between a “Breathtaking Statement” to a “Classic Romantic look” or even just a plain candle and ivy display. All depending on what you like and the budget you have allocated to the flowers. You could even arrange to do a “mock-up” table of your wedding setting just to make sure that you are completely satisfied with what you have decided on.
